    FAQs

Packable waders are hunting waders designed to fold or roll down for transport. They’re worth considering when organizing gear for road trips, camp stays, or hunts that call for carrying your kit on foot. Packed bulk varies by construction and boot style.
Start with clean, fully dry waders and follow the care label’s folding instructions. Avoid forcing sharp creases into boots or stiff sections. Keep buckles and other hard gear from pressing against the fabric, and separate dirty footwear from clothing.
Bootfoot waders have attached boots, so the footwear and wader body pack as one piece. Stockingfoot waders require separate wading boots, which lets you split the load between bags. Account for the full setup when planning your hunting kit.
Remove loose mud and follow the manufacturer’s cleaning directions. Keep wet waders apart from dry clothing during transport, then unpack them at your next stop to air out and dry fully. A separate washable gear tote helps keep the rest of your kit clean.
Compact packing is for travel, not necessarily long-term storage. Once home, clean and dry your waders, then store them as directed on the care label. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat, without heavy gear piled on top.
